DJ Sakin

DJ Sakin (born Sakin Bozkurt, 2 August 1967) is a Turkish-German dance music producer, remixer and DJ. Bozkurt started producing music and DJing in 1990.

Bozkurt has been resident in the clubs Wartburg and Stonsenspliel (both Wiesbaden) and The MusicHall (Frankfurt). Since July 2003 he has run Joules Bookings, an international DJ and producer agency.

Chart success came in 1999 under the name DJ Sakin & Friends, a DJ troupe consisting of, amongst others, Torsten Stenzel.[1] "Protect Your Mind (For The Love Of A Princess)" was #4 on the UK Singles Chart in February 1999,[2] and went to #3 in Germany, reaching gold status. The track sampled James Horner's "Braveheart" from the film of the same name.

The follow-up single was "Nomansland (David's Song)", reaching #14 in the UK Singles Chart in June 1999.[2] This track sampled the classical music of the Romanian composer, Vladimir Cosma.
